L'Ametlla de Mar is a very quiet and peaceful place situated about 5 minutes away (by car) from Casa Savan. The town has a wonderful sense of community and here you can find all of the necessary amenities including supermarkets, fabulous restaurants and bars, a marina, a scuba diving centre and beautiful beaches.

The primary industry in L’Ametlla de Mar is fishing, the town incorporates the largest tuna fishing fleet in Spain. The fish auction takes place in the harbour every working day from 4.00 p.m.
